About Smith Brothers Furniture

Beginning as the Homer Manufacturing Company in 1926 in Berne, IN, Orv Smith and his brother, Les Smith, bought majority share in the company they worked for. Their company manufactured lower price point chairs to supplement the high-end furniture being manufactured by Dunbar and Berne Furniture. The next 30 years were transformative.
