In-Home Delivery Service
Our delivery team is employed directly by Room Concepts Furniture—they are insured, bonded, and highly trained to handle your order with care. Please note:

Direct Delivery: We do not outsource our delivery services.
Tight Fit Situations: In rare cases, if doorways, hallways, or stairwells are tight, we may ask for your approval to proceed. We cannot be held responsible for any damage that might occur from a tight fit.
Minor Damage/Defects: If you notice minor issues upon delivery, please allow our skilled service team to address them before refusing the delivery.
Payment & COD Deliveries
Payment Required: All Cash on Delivery (C.O.D.) orders must be paid before or at the time of delivery or pick-up.
Financing Option: If prepayment isn’t possible, ask about Room Concepts Credit Card financing.
Delivery Scheduling & Timing
Due to our large volume and wide delivery area, we cannot offer specific delivery times. However:

Delivery Window: Most deliveries occur between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
Day-Of Notification: Our driver will call the morning of your delivery to provide a two-hour window.
Weather & Delays: Inclement weather, traffic, and challenging installations may result in rescheduled deliveries. If you’re not home, or if we cannot reach you, a redelivery charge may apply.
Delivery Fees & Service Area
Greater Pittsburgh Area: A flat fee of $89 covers in-home delivery—including moving and setting up the furniture in the room of your choice. This fee also applies to any additional large furniture purchases made within one year.
Outside Greater Pittsburgh: Additional fees may apply. Please contact us for details.
Preparing for Delivery
To ensure a smooth delivery process, please:

Verify Details: Double-check your delivery address and phone number.
Home Presence: Ensure someone 18 years or older is available to accept the delivery.
Clear Access:

In winter, make sure walkways are shoveled and salted.
Protect Your Floors: In inclement weather, have plastic sheeting or throw rugs ready to protect your flooring (our team cannot remove their shoes).
Prepare the Area: Remove old furniture and secure pets, as we are not permitted to move existing items.

Furniture Care & Maintenance
Caring for Wood Furniture
Wood furniture is naturally unique, featuring inherent imperfections like knots, mineral deposits, and unique grain patterns. These characteristics add to its beauty and character.

Tips for Wood Furniture:
Dusting: Use a soft, slightly moistened cloth; always dust with the grain.
Polishing: Avoid products containing petroleum to prevent damage.
Environmental Protection:
Keep furniture out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources, and in areas with controlled humidity.
Use felt or cork pads under lamps, glasses, or hot items to prevent marks.
Humidity: A consistent indoor humidity level (using a humidifier if necessary) benefits all wood furniture.
Upholstery Cleaning Guidelines
Proper maintenance helps keep your upholstered furniture looking its best.

Cleaning Your Upholstery:
Regular Vacuuming: Use a soft brush attachment weekly.
Cushion Care: Rotate or flip cushions regularly to avoid uneven wear.
Follow the Cleaning Code: Check the tag for the recommended cleaning method:
W: Water-based cleaning agents.
S: Mild, water-free dry cleaning agents.
WS: Either water-based or dry cleaning solvents/foams may be used.
X: No foam or liquid cleaners.
Professional Help: For persistent stains or uncertainty, consult a professional upholstery cleaner.
Understanding Pilling:
What Is Pilling?
Pilling occurs when excess fibers form small “balls” on the surface.
Treatment:
Use a battery-operated shaver to remove pills and maintain a smooth fabric surface. Regular vacuuming also helps reduce pilling over time.
Leather Furniture Care & FAQs
Genuine leather is durable, develops a beautiful patina over time, and is an excellent choice for families.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Durability:
Leather generally outlasts fabric—often by up to four times—while gaining softness and character with use.
Temperature Regulation:
Leather is porous and naturally adjusts to room temperature, making it comfortable year-round.
Pet Concerns:
Its dense fiber structure makes leather more resistant to punctures, and minor damages can be professionally repaired.
Natural Marks:
Unique marks, scars, and color variations are natural and attest to the authenticity of the leather.
Types of Leather and Finishes:
Full Grain Leather:
The top, most durable layer, featuring natural imperfections.
Corrected Grain Leather:
Buffed to remove surface imperfections.
Aniline Dyed Leather:
Uses transparent organic dyes to maintain the leather’s natural look; available as full or semi-aniline for varying resistance to stains.
Pigment Finish:
Uses opaque coatings for uniform color and enhanced durability.
Split Leather:
Derived from the lower layers of the hide and often used in non-seating areas to offer cost savings.
Leather Mate/Match:
Combines leather with vinyl; note that the color and texture may change as the materials age.
